About Polyurethane
What is polyurethane?
 |
Polyurethane is a leading member of the highly diverse plastics family. Basically, polyurethane foam is made by reacting polyols and diisocyanates, both are products derived from crude oil. A series of additives are also necessary to produce high quality PU foam products. |
| Polyurethane foam can be flexible or rigid. Each form of polyurethane has many uses. The members of Euro-Moulders produce flexible moulded polyurethane foam parts for the automotive sector. Seats are the most prominent final product in which polyurethane foams are used. |

The chart shows how moulded polyurethane parts, produced for the automotive sector, fit within the wider polyurethane family.
